My Son aged 13 years has undergone a vision correction (Squint) surgery on 1st March 2012, everything was fine but all of a sudden on 24th of April 2012 ( His 1st day at school), he started having double vision again. The Dr. says the eye muscle all of a sudden got loose. Please suggest?

Hello
It seems from the history that your son has undergone squint surgery for correction of squint and he is having double vision following surgery.
It is a common problem after squint surgery and it is usually because of proper alignment of the eye so that two eyes which were having central and eccentric fixation becomes central foveal fixation causing diplopia.
This will decrease as the eyes adjust and rarely a second surgery is required.
Hence as of now no need to worry, wait for 2-4 months before taking a final call.

Thank you
