Can Feeling Light Headed, Itchy Chest And Discomfort In The Lungs After Using Bleach On Clothes Be Serious?

Today I used bleach to get a stain out of a shirt, doing so for probably less than five minutes. Now my chest feels a little bit itchy and my lungs a little heavy. I also felt a bit light headed but it didn t last very long. I just want to know if this could lead to anything serious.

Strong bleaching solutions are pungent and can cause chest discomfort and light headedness. I advice you to make the bleaching solution more dilute before use.
