Can Feeling Nauseous Be A Side Effect Of Postinor 2 Intake?

I have taken 2 pills postinor 2 at one time on the 19th day (5 Feb) after my last menstruation (18 Jan) I had no spotting or bleeding till today (2 weeks after eating positnor 2) but last 5 days I feel nausea n keep going to the toilet. Is it the effect of postinor 2 or am I pregnant? Anxious to hear from you. Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Postinor 2 is used as an emergency contraceptive. Nausea and diarrhea are side effects of Postinor 2. If you have not been taking postinor 2 for last 2 weeks and if you have unprotected sex, then chances of pregnancy are there. You can check it through pregnancy test or you can consult your gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma,
