Can Finger Swelling, Dryness, Cracks, Slits, Torn Skin And Pus Be Treated?

My boyfriend has had a problem with one of his fingers on his hand for about three years, he worked for mcdonalds and had spilt grill cleaner on his finger, he quickly cleaned it and thought that everything was alright but the problem just got worse, his finger is swollen and dry if he don't put lotion or aloe vera on it all the time it gets dry and cracks into little slits of torn skin, all down his finger and if he squeezes the finger a clear liquid will come out.. also it's very itchy and red bumps appear if he itches it. help please
