Can First Time Intercourse Make One Pregnant?

last night 03/11/2011, i had sex with my gf without using condom. it was her first sex so she lost virginity during sex and some blood came out.Her period was coming but not sure when is that exactly. At morning 3 am , she had high amount of blood coming out.she told that its her menstruation ,but i am not sure because it may be due to her first sex also. so my question is how can i be sure that she had menstruation?? is there any chance of being pregnant ??

Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for asking your question. First of all i would like enlighten your knowledge that only one motile sperm is sufficient to fertilize ovum and make woman pregnant, no matter sex has been once or too many times.
Bleeding can be because of menstruation or due to rupture of hymen, because it was her 1st time. But in case of rupture hymen, high amount of bleeding does not occur generally, so in your case, i think her menstruation has started. If you want to confirm, then if bleeding continues to 3 to 4 days, then it will be surely due to menstruation.
Chances of pregnancy are more if you have unprotected sex between 12th to 18h day of her cycle in case of regular 28 to 30 days' cycle, because only during that time, ovum is released and ready to get fertilized.
So over and all, i would like to tell you that bleeding mostly will be because of menstruation only, so you need not to worry, but from next time, always use protection.
