Can Foot Twisting Cause Alignment Problems With Crepitus?

i twisted my rt foot outward, putting all my weight on the outer top of the foot when I fell, I had a purple bruise line from front to back of my outer foot as well as on the top & it swelled on top. Shoe seems to fit weird now like it is out of alignment ? is that possible ? can walk on it & ankle joints are fine just bump on top towards outer heal & pops & cracking noises now, am female 5' 5'' 140 lbs 47 yrs old clean bill of health
