Can Gangrene Occur In Wrist Joints?

halo dr.,for the past 9mnths my husb of 38yrs ,normal built of asian origin complaining of pain in right wrist joint. pain aggravates only during active work otherwise its fine.recently his MRI results revealed a gangrene. is it possible to have gangrene in that area? & suggest me treatments available.
