Blood pressure apart from drug therapy can be managed by other measures:
- Use of low salt in foods, tea or drinks.
- Use of low levels of oil in foods (Avoid oily foods).
- Try unsaturated oils in the diet which contain omega three fatty acids.

Meditation or taking rest.
Foods that can help you control blood pressure are:
- Spinach, green leafy vegetables, spices like cinnamon, rosemary, garlic. Try these in a diet.
- Fresh fruits like banana.
- Skimmed milk and yoghurt also helps control it. These help in controlling
cholesterol and maintain a good level of potassium which helps to reduce pressure.
- Garlic is important and helps to control by
vasodilation of blood vessels via the release of nitric oxide in the body.
