genu varum has bothered me since a young adult. I never felt good about myself because of it... I can't wear a dress nor boots coz, they seem to go on a different direction, like the other half of my legs are not attached to the upper part. Is there an american doctor that will correct genu varum in adults? If they straighten teeth, why don't they straighten legs? Both me-healthy 45 year old female and my daughter-22 have genu varum. It is my opinion that it is brought by my grandmother massaging my legs to get them stronger as a baby (before turning 1 year old). My maternal grandma did this to my 4 other siblings and we developed similar shaped legs.. Until my paternal grandmother told my mom not to allow my maternal grandmother to do that because it will misshape the legs... My next 3 siblings whose legs were left alone developed beautiful legs, without genu varum.. Realizing this however much later in life, I did the same thing to my eldest daughter who developed genu-varum like mine.. My next one developed a perfectly shaped leg because I left it alone...Help!
