Can Giardia Infection Trigger Mitral Valve Prolapse?

I had untreated Giardia for 4 months and now have been diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse. I am a healthy 40 year old female, extremely active & rarely get sick. Now, I'm having anxiety attacks and just havent felt normal in the past 3 weeks. Could the parasite have triggered my MVP? I know my MVP is triggering my anxiety...

hello,i have gone through your question.Let me assure you that giardiasis is no way related to MVP .MVP also is also benign condition.You are quite anxious.Just relax and take Tab.Alprazolam 0.5 mg at bedtime for about 0 days.you will be fine.Go for yearly check up
