Can Ginet Be The Cause Of Mood Swings?

Hi, I have been on the pill ginet 84 for a least 3 years now due to ache. Lately I have noticed when I begin my period I m getting extremely moody. I m also moody throughout taking ginet 84. 3 days after having my period I m so at ease and I feel like my normal self again. I never noticed the mood swings that much at the begining because I thought it was all apart of growing up! I m now 19 and have noticed these things a lot clearly now and so have the people around me. Is this due to ginet 84? Any recommendations? I really should have seen a doctor earlier about this but I honestly hate seeing doctors and going to hospitals :P Thanks

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Well yes, all or most of the medications can affect your hormone levels resulting in various symptoms like mood swings, painful periods, irregular bleeding, etc.

It would be best to first of all, avoid medications in the long term, and so you may have to discontinue this pill. And please do consult your doctor as this would be best, despite your dislike towards us. :)

Best wishes.
