Can Grapefruit Be Consumed While On Heart Medication?

I am on clopidogrel and I am starting a juice cleanse which contains grapefruit, carrots, bananas, cucumbers, kale, pineapple and apples. I called the heart doctor s nurse today and ask and she said it should not be a problem. The internet says that grapefruit will interfere with this medicine so I am afraid to drink the juice and I don t trust what the nurse is saying. The doctor was not in so I know she didn t consult with him. Do you think it is safe?
