Can HCG Levels Indicate Pregnancy?

My first day of the last period was 20th dec 15.as i have feeling of craving, few days back i did a pregnancy test which showed a positive result. However further nlood tests carried out and it shows beta serum hCG was 2.39. Is this mean that i am not pregnant?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes HCG levels are used to diagnose pregnancy in woman. As you now have quantitative beta serum hCG of 2.39, this means you are not pregnant & the pregnancy test you had earlier was false positive.
This could also means that you have undergone a miscarriage & was previously pregnant. So now HCG levels have fallen in you.
You are also advised to undergo a transvaginal ultrasound to further clarify the things. Females with low HCG levels are prone to miscarriage in early part of pregnancy
