Can Having An Implant Affect Pregnancy?

Hi, I ve been experiencing pains in my stomach particularly on the sides for about 2-3 weeks now. In january this year i had an implant (after having it for 3 yrs) removed because i had been bleeding for 3 weeks. My partner and i have been trying for a baby but this does not seem to be happening. Could this be effects of having the implant?

Hi,

Implant can interfere with implantation of fetus but doesn't cause irreversible damage leading to life long implantation possibilities but is a transient arrangement. If any pelvic inflammatory disease or infection is triggered it may cause infertility but seems likely in your case. Get a hormonal profile done as well as fresh radiographic work up with ultrasound pelvis etc and consult a fertility expert for any derangements in the work up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
