Can Having Endometriosis Cause Difficulty In Conceiving?

Hi there. I have recently been diagnosed with endometriosis. I have been trying to conceive for 2 years with no luck. My Gyno assured me that my ability to conceive looks normal. Is there anything I can do other than getting my partners sperm tested? Have been tracking my ovulation etc all still normal...

Yes endometriosis may definitely pose a hindrance in conception. In my expert opinion you should go for the treatment of endometriosis first along with the semen analysis of your partner.

It is necessary because:
Endometriosis causes adhesion around the Fallopian tubes and ovaries and it may lead to a physical barrier to the free transport of the ovum when you ovulate. Uterine endometrial sperm binding abnormalities also are caused by the endometriosis. GnRH-agonist drug class works good for moderate to high grade disease of endometriosis.

Fertility and Medically Assisted-Pregnancy options:-
Ask your OB/GYN for other methods of achieving pregnancy like:
Intrauterine insemination.
In-vitro-fertilization.
For patients like you Intracytoplasmic sperm injection has high success rates.
