Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Increase in cholesterol level is among one of the factors responsible for formation of stone in gall bladder, its not mandatory that all gall bladder stones are made up of cholesterol. Keep taking statins in dose as advised by the cardiologist. Follow life style modification and repeat your lipid profile after 3 months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rini
