Can Having Intercourse While On Birth Control Pills Cause Pregnancy?

Hi doc, im taking dianne pills nov 4, if i have contact with my partner on nov 13 to 17, is it possible that i get pregnant if i stop taking pills on nov 18, and have contact again on nov 19 and rest without taking pills... i have a regular period.. thank u

I understand your concern.
Pregnancy is possible if you do not take the birth control pills regularly. There are chances of becoming pregnant even if you miss one pill in your schedule. Hence, you need to strictly follow the schedule by taking pill everyday at the same time.
It is advisable to use other modes of contraception like condom and spermicides during the initial 2 weeks of starting of the pills first time, and also if you miss the pill until you get next periods.
