Can Having Sex During Periods Cause Blood In Urine Of The Partner?
Me an my partner had sex the day my period started... then the next day he said he had some blood in his urine an underwear an told me it was because of the sex we had the previous day now in my mind I know that my blood is not going to stay inside of him for a whole 24 hours... he also goes to the gym an lifts weights if that is any relevant information. I would like to know what s the cause of this.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi,
It is possible to stick blood in penis and penile meatus while sexual intercourse during periods. This can stain underwear. Possibility of staining in urine during beginning of urination also is possible. But if blood is there is further urine flow then it is not likely from the period blood.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
