If you are exclusively feeding the child on breasts, the chances of
pregnancy are very less. However, otherwise, the egg release can take place any time after 5 weeks of delivery. Such pregnancy can happen even without having menses.
You need not be frightened for pregnancy. You may get some medicines from your Gynaecologist for induction of menses. If you do not get the menses, then you may get your tests done for pregnancy - that too 24-30 days after the sex. Else, please wait for 24-30 days after you had sex. After that get your urine pregnancy test/
ultrasonography done to detect the pregnancy if any.
If you happen to be pregnant, the pregnancy up to 9 weeks can be terminated by medicines now. However, do not take those medicines across the counter. They have to be taken by advice of and under supervision of Gynaecologist.
Whatever is the situation, after you get induced
menstruation or termination of pregnancy, please start using reliable birth control methods like intrauterine devices, birth control pills or condom.
