Can Having Unprotected Sex While Skipping Birth Control Pills Cause Pregnancy?

I have been on birth control since September last year. Last week I read online that it s okay to skip the last week of pills and start a new pack. I took 2 of them and then I started my period. The next day I started a new pack and a couple days later my period stopped. I had unprotected sex yesterday and I m scared that I might get pregnant because I didn t take the pills right...

Dear patient
If ocpills are not taken in proper way it cannot provide complete protection and failure can occur.
So there is chance of pregnancy with unprotected sex. You should take emergency pill within 72 hours of unprotected sex. If 72 hours has passed you need to consult expert gynecologist and get yourself examined. All the best.
