Hello, I got my chest x ray for the pre employment requirements ,however the impression on my cxr their is hazy infiltrates the right upper lobe, PTB,, and I don t have any symptoms so the physician told me need to see a psulmonologist because Im not fit to work.. So I undergone another cxr and sputum test ,the cxr was the same impression as the first one and my sputum test was negative... Still the pulmonologist told me I need to intake medicine and he said he s going to evaluate the results within 1 month... So is there a chance I get a clearance for being fit to work within a month? and report back to my employer?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your description it seems that you are having a lesion at the apex of your lung. Most probably it is an old and healed lesion due to old tuberculosis. Unfortunately it will take long time to resolve the lesion completely. You can continue the treatment and do a repeat X-ray after one month.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
