Can Heart Attack Be The Cause Of Elevated Liver Enzymes?

I have had a heart attack about 2 yrs ago they put 2 stents in then. I first had a stent put in when I was about 41 for an 80% blockage in my left decensing vein then. My question is the doc said I have elevated liver enzymes 2 times now can it be from my heart, or is that silly?

Hi I read your query very carefully.

The cause of elevated liver enzymes may be due to the use of statins or other lowering cholesterol drugs you are taking.

A rare case is decompensated heart failure which is associated with increased liver enzymes.

Hope it was of help!
