Can Heavy Bleeding Reoccur After A Course Of Provera Is Over?

Hello, I was recently in the ER for heavy bleeding. The bleeding stopped after several hours, and a couple of hours after that, my gynaecologist put me on Provera. I have a prescription for 12 pills. What happens after the 12 days? Will I start to bleed heavily again immediately after I stop taking Provera?
