Can Heavy Weight Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes On Shoulder And Neck?

I have some swollen lymph nodes on my shoulder and neck. Can heavy weight cause this? I have been carrying a heavy bag plus my purse plus a lop top for quite sometime, I knew that I should have not done it but I did nevertheless. I also have had a persistant cough for about 2 years, Doctor says is nasal drip and got medication, but the cough has not gone away. Please advise.
