Hello

Thanks for asking query on HCM. Dont get confused. I assume you have been told to have chronic hepatitis C based on Anti HCV positive report, which is usually a screening test. To confirm and to guide treatment plan you need to undergo HCV genotype and viral load, which will tell the doctor, what is the level of virus in your blood and also tell what type it is. I can also tell you that one the reports are available your doctor will start you on treatment - which has become easy and highly effective since the availability of newer drugs.

Take care.
