Can Hernia Have An Adverse Effect On The Prostate Gland?

My PSA level is high @7.1 It has went up 3 points in 9 months and I have a double hernia. You think this may have an effect on my prostate. I m 61 years old. My urologist want to give me a biopsy.I am looking to have hernia surgery first.What should I do?Thanks

Hi and welcome to HCM. Thanks for the query.
No, it cant be caused by hernia and you should find another cause of psa increase. In first case, hyperplasia and tumors should be ruled out so you need to do ultrasound and biopsy if necessary.
