Can High Cholesterol Level And Family History Of Heart Attack Lead To Heart Problems?
would 15 years of statin therapy reverse the amount of plaque significantly in the coronary arteries? Age 70
Prior to statin therapy 15 years ago my total cholesterol was over 300. Therapy brought it down to about 150 or lower.
This therapy was begun after a pulmonary embolism following surgery (gall bladder). Father had fatal heart attack at 47. Grandfather and great grandfather died in their 40s from heart attacks also. Both of my brothers had heart attacks also. They were younger at the time of their attacks than I am now. I have not had a heart attack. I am 5'8" amd 212 pounds.
