Can High Levels Of Bilirubin Leads To Acne?

Hi, can high levels of bilirubin cause acne? I m 23 years old, and I ve visited dermatologist who ve proscribed all types of topical gels/creams etc. I ve also tried most if not all over the counter creams, scrubs, cleansers etc. Nothing is working. This has been happening since I was 13. Thanks in advance for you help.

Hi,

High level of bilirubin has no role in development of acne. It is a multifactorial skin disease. It may be precipitated by stress, anxiety, dandruff,
Drugs like steroids and pills, oily food and so many others.

You consult the dermatologist.

I would suggest...

- antibiotic like azithromycine
- low dose of isotretinoin
- clindamycine gel
- antiseptic face wash

Have patience and take treatment for the long time. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
