In Septembe of 2010 I came down with flu like symptoms..very runny nose, mild fever, a somewhat sore throat...but within a day or two the mucus got really bad and I started to have very bad gas and severe paininthe chest from the gas buildup. I had to go to the hospital, they gave me todoral, took blood samples. They said my liver levels were very high and asked if I ve been out of the country. I never was, and the last time I was in a tropical place was 1987. I left after the pain went away that night. The next day the gas pain was back , I went to the doctor who orderd more blood tests ( which I did a week later)..and kept suffering through the pain. The mucus was getting worse and I developed a sunus infection ( my first ever). I went in and got antibotics. They helped with the sinus and the gas pain also left after a couple of days of taking antibiotics. December 2010, I get another flu and the same thing happened.....the anitbiotics helped but the mucus did not really clear up so much....and I kept having gas pain when I d have what seemed like attaches of mucus buildup...finally the mucus seemed to clear up by Mid -Feb.2011. I was clear for two days, when boom...another flu...it hit faster and stronger and even more mucus and excrutiating gas pain....i went to the walk in clinic after a day of suffering and got a presciption of Apo-Zithomazx as well as Nexium 40 mg dose for the gas and pain.....I take the dose of Nexium in the moring and the dose of antbiotics ann hour later....then have my breakfast. the pain seem to subside and the mucus is going away..but i can t eat after 4pm becuase i ve gotten sever gas pain no matter what I eat......I don t know what to do.......I have two more days of antibiotics and 3 weeks left of Nexium.....I feel very weak.....
