Can High Sugar Intake Cause Seizures?

I had a mild seizure i.e. lost motor control of my mouth, I was totally cognizant of what was happening--- I had had nothing to eat all day and had just finished eating a candy bar and 2 big handfulls of swedish fish ( a gummy bear type of snack) with a bottle of soda---I am 58 ---I wonder if the intake of all that sugar could have caused that 10 second seizure
