Can High Sugar Levels Cause Ankle Pain?

Hellow Doctor, Last one week i got swelling in my left leg ankle. I have consulted one doctor. he has prescribed ceftum 500 & bidanzen forte. he has told that. just becuase of some infection. but i am having sugar. in fasting it is 160 & PP 210. whether it is due to sugar problem (or) any other reason.
