Can Home Pregnancy Test Be False Negative?

Hi Doctor, I am very regular with my monthly menstrual cycle of 28 days. And last month due to some religious function i had taken Deviry 50 mg tablets for 4 days 2 each day to delay my periods. Post which i got my periods. on 27th May. Since then i have not got my periods. Me and my husband are also very strongly trying for starting our family and conceiving. I was very happy... But when i took the ican pregnancy test at home on 4th July it came negative. Please tell me if i should wait or get it tested ??

Hi, I understand your concern..
Many patients has complained of delayed periods/ intermenstrual spotting for 1 cycle after taking progesterone tablets though its not scientifically proved. Repeat a preg test with early morning urine sample.. If neg for confirmation you can get a hcg test, greatyer than 10 indicates positive pregnancy.. If neg u can take progesterone tab t get withdrawal bleeding after consulting your gynaecologist.. hope i have answered your queries.. Good day.
