Can Hormonal Imbalance Cause Irregular And Heavy Periods?

I have pcos with regular periods. In may I joined a gym and worked out all summer 6 days a week. I noticed my periods became longer. This past month due to my schedule I have only worked out twice a week. My period is now late. Is it possible I disrupted my hormones by the sudden change in my workout schedule?

PCOD can cause irregular periods. Still check ur thyroid hormone level also, S.TSH & Free T4 level. If it is normal, and still u r having irregular menses and u want to regularize, I will prescribe medicines. R u having any other symptoms of PCOD like acne, hirsuitism, wright gain etc?
