Can Hourly Nebulization Be Done At Home For Bronchiolitis Treatment?
Hi Dr. Santosh. my son is suffering from Mild fever and Bronchiolitis (as confirmed by our Local Doctor) and suggested to get my son hospitalized at the earliest for hourly nebulization. But I don't want him to be admitted and want to do the nebulization at home itself. Please recommend if this is clinically correct to do the hourly nebulization at home.
Admission in your childs case is advised for frequent monitoring of him and his condition to detect any further worsening of his condition and not for nebulizations alone I believe. Though home nebulization can be done. But monitoring would not be possible by a healthcare personnel.
