Can I Be Infected From HIV Through Oral Sex And Kiss?

Hello Doctor,

I had an encounter with someone who made me oral sex and kissed, one of the kisses I felt a taste of blood. I do not know if he is infected with HIV.

- I did an HIV test 1/2 AB / AG ECLIA at 2 weeks and went negative.
- Repeated the test with a Quick Test SD Bioline HIV 1/2 3.0 at 5 weeks and came out negative.
- I did an HIV test 1/2 AB / AG ECLIA at 8 weeks and went negative.

I have lost 2 kgs weight.

I can be infected ?? The evidence is conclusive or should repeat ???

thanks

The risk of getting HIV from oral sex is very low and from kissing it is nil. If you had direct contact with blood during kissing than there is some possibility if the boy is HIV positive. But you had done repeated tests at 2, 5 and 8 weeks and all of them are negative than the chances of having an infection with HIV are very remote. Still I will suggest you to go for repeat testing after 3 months post exposure to be 100% conclusive about the result.
