Can I Contract HIV Infection After Having Oral Sex?

I had a sexual encounter with a male last week. I am a gay man. He informed me he had hiv but was positive that I could not catch it because we did not have pentrive sex. He gave me oral and his penis was close to my anus at one point. I never touched his body fulid after but I think there was some pre cum on my body. I am getting tested tomorrow I am so worried. What do you think my chances are of contracting hiv.

thank you for query.the chances by oral sex is almost nil provided there are no ulcers or abrasions or open wound in the oral cavity .also the precum or secretions should not have had contact with any abrasions or ulcers or open wound .The chances are very remote. You can go ahead with the RNA PCR test if after 10 days of exposure for better results. You can get back to me for any clarifications with the details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
