Can I Get Pregnant Post Unprotected Sex Despite Missing A Birth Control Pill?

Hello, I have not received my period this month, I m currently one week late, and just taken a home pregnancy test 2 hours ago. I missed some of my birth control pills in April, which I followed the instructions of missing pills. In May my period came on 3-4 days late, and was abnormal and stayed on for days. So now I m waiting to see on my period this month. I m experiencing all the symptoms of pregnancy. It was recommended for me to test in the morning, and wait a couple of days.

HI,
I understand your concern.
The haphazard consumption of pills ,followed by it's compensation as advised in leaflet of pill.. was multiple times in month of April. This had caused a hormonal imbalance & so you had late & prolonged period in May.
I don't know weather you had continued the pills this month or not..
- If you were taking them regularly, there would have been correction of problem.
- If you had stopped taking pills, there is chance of conception.. which needs to be excluded by blood pregnancy test at present./ the hormonal imbalance is yet to be corrected & so the periods are late.
The pregnancy like symptoms you have, may be out of hormonal imbalance too.
Wait for periods for one more week.
Do pregnancy test. If +ve go for MTP if you are not interested in pregnancy & get Cu T fitted.
In case test is -ve, consult a gynecologist for specific treatment.
Thanks.
