Can I Get Your Opinion On The MRI Scan Report?

Dear Nurologists
I've had result of my MRI scan and it says: Difficult study due to overlying hair. Sub-optimal view. There is 12 mm oval shaped isoechoic soft tissue lesion which appears to be smoothly indenting the bone.
Could you please tell me what is your opinion?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

It looks like you have a small 12 mm diameter swelling on your scalp area. This is more like a benign lump because the underlying bone is showing smooth indentation. You need not worry but it is better to watch for further increase in size and bring it to the notice of your doctor. No surgery is indicated right now if there are no other symptoms like pain and discharge from the swelling.
