Can I Have Suboxone For Chronic Pain Associated With Fibromyalgia?

i have fibromyalgia and have used opiates for a long time, I m wondering if suboxin is a way to handle my pain with out using to many opiates myself. I have gone to my arthritis physician and she continues to prescribe me tylenol # 3 and #4. I tend too abuse them. I am so tired of constant pain. This is no way to live.

Hello,

Suboxone consists of buprenorphine and naloxone and is used in case of opioid dependence. Thus, it helps to decrease or get rid of opioid dependence. It doesn't have pain reducing property. Thus, your pain won't come down with Suboxone. Acetaminophen is a good medication and not addictive like opioids. You can use it in the place of opioids.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
