Can I Have A Coil Fitted Without Getting Result Of Smear Test?

i am a mother of three, i am 44, in a new relationship, problem with condoms, i have used emergency pill 2 times within 4-6 weeks, i need to use it again, can i, should i? i would like a coil fitted but i am waiting for results of smear test, can i have a coil fitted instead of using emergency pill again without my results?

Hi,

I think that if you have a coil fitted there is no requirement of taking emergency contraceptive pills. If the smear reports are correct then only the pills will be safe for you otherwise not.
