Can I Put Tape On Wart Removed Area?

Hi, I went to the doctors because of a wart on the sole of my foot. He said to put on a substance called "compound W" on it, and then put on a layer of duct tape over my foot, overnight, and then take it off in the morning. But, when i put on my socks to go to school, the linen in my socks get inside my wart. My question is, if I put on the tape over night, and then leave it on until mid-afternoon, will it be safe?
