Can I Skip My Period By Missing The Break Pills In Contraceptive Pack?

I have been taking microgynon ed for a month now, last month everything was normal i had my period on time, before that i was taking a different pill caller loestrin fe. But i switched because this one is cheaper, i took loestrin for about a year. This month i want tp skip my period by skipping the break pills and going directly to the next pack. Is it ok to do that even i only have a month using this pill?
