Can I Smoke Weed And Drink Alcohol During Medication?

Hi
I am on Luprolex and I want to know if i can drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes and smoke weed? My doctor said that smoking cigarettes is a big no-no. She also said that I could drink alcohol once in a while but not too much. I didn't get to ask her about smoking weed though. Thanks

Hello. As you must be aware that Luprolex is a drug used in treatment of prostate cancer, endometriosis, uterine myoma/fibroids, premenopausal breast cancer etc. & possibly prescribed to you for one of these aforementioned conditions. As a rule of thumb drinking alcohol, smoking tobacco cigarettes are independent risk factors for cancer in general & both in their own special ways weaken body's immunity & general health, nutritional status in general. All of these might hold long term prognostic implications regarding your current treatment & your body's ability to respond to treatment. Hence as a general advice you should try & refrain from both of these. Good Luck
