Can I Take Amusement Rides While Suffering From Dizziness And Tinnitus?

Hi. I am a 20 year old female. I recently had a c-section 4 months ago. Ever since, I have been experiencing severe dizziness, ringing in ears, which has lead to severe anxiety. When I was about 11 or 12, I was diagnosed with MVP. And having shooting pains in my head. In late march, I had an MRI done with contrast. Everything was normal. I went to cardiologist about two months ago, and he sent me to get a VQ scan done to make sure I didn t have a blood clot in my lungs. Everything was good there. I have been under an enormous amount of stress. I did overhear the cardiologist say to the ultrasound tech something about a weak spot . For the past 2 weeks, my heart has been fluttering almost all day. Some days are worse than others. I wore a holtor monitor for 24 hours a couple days ago, but it seemed my heart did not flutter the entire time, but started the next day when I took it off! At the end of this month I have an appointment scheduled to see an ENT specialist, and a neurologist. I have been on several antibiotics, and meclizine for dizziness. But, the fair is in town before I go to the doctor, and I would really love to go!!! I guess my question is, would it be ok for me to ride all the rides or will it make my symptoms worse? This whole thing has put a hold on my life, and it is very annoying. I am 20 years old, very short and still have some weight to lose since having my baby, and I have also had anxiety problems for years now, right after my dad passed away. Help please?

Hi,

All your history started with death of your Father, the anxiety and then the problems got added or diagnosed as MPV. fluttering of heart, C-Section and so on; now have dizziness and Tinnitus for which you have taken an appointment yet under treatment with Meclizine.
Since you have so many problems as you have detailed, it is not advisable at all to go to amusement park or ride anything at all.
This may enhance your problems add on to anxiety and stress, need for raised dose of Meclizine or add on treatment.
With all the problems, you should first get yourself well diagnosed of all the problems and get treated accordingly.
Take bed rest as it helps with all your symptoms.
Also take an opinion of a Psychiatrist as your problems started after Father's death and proper management can help overcome your other problems too.
No amusement rides please.

I hope this answer helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
