Can Ichthyosis Spread All Over The Body?

hello doctor my child is 8 years he has go icthyosis I had noticed dry skin from the time he is 4 months and showed the dr i use creams which the dr has precibred now i have started homepathy treatment fro him.Can this diseases cause him any problem he has dry skin on shin and thigh.will it spread all over his body has he grows up.i am very worried
