Can Inferior Quality Undergarments Cause Yeast Infection?
Last week I bought a 1 day monistat treatment to treat a yeast infection. The yeast infection has since gone away. I ve always had very dry, itchy skin at the top of the vagina (Mons pubis area?). But now it is even more red and itchy. I ve been using the monistat itch cream every other day. My bf said he thinks its because I was wearing underwear with a cheap fabric. Is he right? Could that have been what caused the yeast infection in the first place?? What can I do to get rid of this redness and constant itching?? The itch cream does help but it always comes back. Help!!!
You can continue the use of miconazole cream for your fungal lesion. Clotrimazole powder also can be applied over that.
Tight-fitting garments with moisture is cause for such fungal infection and irritation. It can be a due allergy to cloth to which you might be sensitive.
I suggest you use loose, cotton cloths and innerwear. Avoid tight-fitting cloths and prevent moisture in that area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
