Hi. I have asthma first off, and smoke (all kinds) are my triggers, that and hot or cold humidity. Neighbors are taking full advantage of the recreational pot laws. Their pot smoke is coming into my apartment almost every day. The smell (skunk weed) is first of all nauseating, and causes me to cough horribly. Not only that it gives me a bad headache for several days. I bought a charcoal mask for paint vapors. It does cut the smell but I find it very difficult to breath though. pot in my apartment again last night. Today I felt particularly bad. I was having shortness of breath when walking and just standing, off balance, trouble thinking, my supraventricular tachycardia was acting up, and at times I felt like I could pass out. I also have been having trouble with my blood sugar being high often. Usually it is pretty good. Can pot smoke exposure cause my lungs to get be irritated to the point of infection? Could that cause these symptoms? and should I wait to talk to my Dr on Monday or should I go to the ER?
