Can Inhaling Molten Plastic Smell Cause Side Effects?

I have been cooking and I accidently cooked some of the pan and plastic started to melt off a little. There was a weird smell and I breathed it in for at least two or three minutes before it went away. I was wondering if this could be harmful to me or cause anything bad.
