Can Intake Of Valium Cause Delayed Periods?

Hi can taking 1 Valium affect my period as my tubes are tied and I m always regular, I am 4 weeks late have done 2 pregnancy tests both negative the only thing I can think that has been out of routine is that I had a Valium a couple of weeks ago due to bad back pain but i do not take them on a regular and it was the first time I have ever taken one

Hi,

It is not known to cause delayed periods. Valium is a benzodiazepine commonly prescribed to treat anxiety disorders and other conditions. Its common side effects include drowsiness, decreased muscle tone, unsteady walk, gait disturbances, fatigue, muscle weakness and amnesia. It is not known to cause delayed period.
