Composition of Duoluton-L: Levonogestrel ip 0.250 mg Ethinylestradiol ip 0.050mg In the month of May, every Sunday, I had protected inter-course with my friend. Although I have taken “Cipla I-pill” on 11th of May for safe side within 2 hours. 21 days Course of “Duoluton-L” got completed on 22nd May. Then again we had protected inter-course on 25th May and within 2 hours I had taken “Cipla I-Pill”. According to me, I am 100% safe. I want your opinion. Also tell me does taking “Cila I-Pill 2 times in 15 days, i.e. on 11th May as well as 25th May, will delay my period? If yes, then by how many days? I am very tensed. Hi,
1. First of all, I-pill is an emergency contraceptive pill which works by preventing fertilisation by the delay in ovulation. It also changes the length of the cycle. Many women get periods a week before the actual date. It never delays periods.
2. Secondly, you are also taking Duoluton L tablet which also works on preventing fertilization and thus helps prevent pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
